Antique J. H. W & Sons Hanley ‘belmont’ Dinner Service

Stunning set of 3 platters and two tureens, in amazing condition for a set this old (1880s).
The gold is remarkably in tact around the pieces, there is some rubbing, but these have been well preserved. There is some light crazing to the smallest platter, and a very small amount here and there in the others, barely noticeable if at all.

I apologise that there is, shall we say some vintage dirt here and there, as I’m too nervous to wash them in case of breakages or rubbing the gold off.

This set would be a dinner party show stopper, that’s for sure, or would simply look amazing on a large dresser. The platters measure:
Large: L:45.5cm W: 33cm D: 5cm,
Medium: L:40.5cm, W: 30cm, D: 4cm,
Small: L:33 cm, W: 24.5cm, D: 3cm.
Large Tureen: L: approx 31cm, W: 20cm, D: 14cm including handle at top.
Small Tureen: L: 20cm, W:13cm, D: 12cm
